Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior BP&A Analyst to support VCO’s regional optimization data and planning initiatives. In this role, you will serve as a data steward for VCO’s models, ensuring data integrity, governance, and consistency across systems.

As a senior member of the team, you will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, contribute to executive-level presentations, and play a key role in advancing analytical capabilities, process improvements, and data-driven culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the collection, validation, and management of data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across VCO’s models
  • Conduct advanced analysis of refinery and clean products network data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities across demand, supply, and pricing
  • Collaborate on the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools to support business and executive decision-making
  • Act as a subject matter expert in VCO’s data and data management systems
  • Assist with defining, developing, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), including creation of new metrics to evaluate data accuracy
  • Partner with VCO and Commercial teams to translate business needs into scalable analytical solutions
  • Lead preparation and presentation of materials and insights for planning meetings, including Executive Leadership reviews
  • Identify and drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and enhancements to data systems and workflows
  • Support VCO’s project initiatives by identifying requirements, testing solutions, and helping prioritize enhancements
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Economics, or related discipline required
  • Six (6) years in Accounting, Finance, Commercial, or related field required
  • General understanding of operations systems such as MIPS, MPR, RightAngle and Planning Database is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel required and experience in Power BI preferred
  • Experience with forecasting, pricing strategy, or network optimization
