Your New Role: The Senior Manager, Production Operations role is responsible for connecting dots and tending to details to ensure that our sports, entertainment, corporate, and live/non-broadcast productions, both in studio and on location, are executed successfully. Utilizing a combination of high EQ, comfort level with timely requests and emerging formats, masterful organizational skills, and innate motivation to see a big, ever-changing slate of projects through.

Your Role Accountabilities:
OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT (50%)

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day technical and personnel needs related to pre-production and production for all projects.
  • Collaborate with Technical Operations to optimize use of internal resources for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop, track, and own accountability for budget and organization of multiple simultaneous productions.
  • Manage Assistant Production Managers, Coordinators and Apprentices.
  • Assist with developing and defining new and improved workflow and initiatives.

STRATEGY (25%)

  • Develop and lead the team alongside Sr. Director.
  • Advise partners on opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Work with Techwood Studios teams and Leadership to identify needs within studios, control rooms and other areas of campus where productions are happening, working with the correct people and departments to find a temporary, if not permanent, solution to ensure successful execution of production plans.
  • Work alongside the Technical Managers and Engineering teams to make sure Partner plans are achievable with existing, rented or purchased equipment and gear as Production technology continues to evolve, while managing technical vendors at high-level.

ANALYTICS (25%)

  • Develop comprehensive performance analysis of production processes and review ways of improvement.
  • Actively participate in production and leadership meetings with the goal of understanding all major projects and initiatives planned.

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • 15+ years of prior experience in a related field (media, entertainment, sports, production management)
  • Expert in budgeting, reconciling, forecasting and creating financial projections.
  • Experience with a wide variety of production formats and a deep understanding of crew roles, and the role of the production office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Work collaboratively w/small teams in time sensitive environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently
