Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager – HR Tech is responsible for leading large, enterprise-wide HR technology and business transformation initiatives. This role owns full lifecycle delivery of complex programs that impact multiple business functions, systems, and stakeholders across the organization.
This position is a senior individual contributor role that requires strong executive presence, delivery discipline, and the ability to influence partners without direct authority to ensure successful outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
Project Management & Execution:
- Serve as the accountable project manager for large-scale, enterprise HR initiatives from initiation through stabilization
- Define project scope, objectives, success metrics, resource plans, and governance structures
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, RAID logs, and executive reporting
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies across interconnected workstreams
- Coordinate system implementation activities including requirements validation, testing oversight, deployment planning, and business readiness
Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead cross-functional project teams across HR, IT, Finance, Operations, and external vendors
- Facilitate steering committees and executive-level updates
- Drive stakeholder alignment and proactively manage organizational change impacts
- Drive accountability across all stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business outcomes
Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to enterprise governance, compliance, and quality standards
- Contribute to the ongoing maturation of HR project governance and delivery standards
Experience:
- 8+ years of progressive project management experience, including leadership of enterprise-level initiatives
- Demonstrated experience serving as the primary project manager on large, cross-functional HR or HR technology implementations
- Experience leading complex system implementations (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Talent, Integrations, or similar platforms)
- Proven ability to manage executive stakeholders and operate in high-visibility environments
- Experience managing project budgets, vendors, and external consulting partners
- Experience operating within structured governance or PMO environments
- PMP certification preferred

- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
- Exceptional influencing skills with the ability to drive alignment without direct authority
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into executable delivery plans

- Ability to manage ambiguity and complex organizational dynamics

Supervisor Responsibilities:
- None. This is an individual contributor role requiring leadership influence without direct reports.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
