Process Technician 

Shift: Monday–Friday | 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM

 

CelLink is seeking a hands‑on Process Technician to support laser welding operations for flexible circuit manufacturing. This role is critical to daily production and process validation activities within our weld cells.

The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable following precise instructions in a process‑driven manufacturing environment. Technicians in this role will operate weld cells, perform manual setup and alignment, inspect parts, collect data, and work closely with Process Engineers to support weld validation and continuous improvement.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate laser weld cells during swing shift production.
  • Perform manual loading, fixturing, and alignment of parts.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, recipes, and setup files with high accuracy.
  • Conduct visual inspections to verify weld quality and part alignment.
  • Run multiple parts per build and support weld validation activities.
  • Perform basic testing, such as pull tests or cross‑section measurement,s under the engineer's direction.
  • Collect, record, and present process and test data to engineers.
  • Identify, document, and communicate process issues or anomalies clearly.
  • Support basic troubleshooting within the defined technician scope; escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and documentation requirements.
  • Demonstrate CelLink’s culture of integrity, teamwork, self‑discipline, and professional competence; perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Experience/Education

  • High school diploma.
  • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or some technical training that's equivalent to an Associate Degree, a plus.
  • Hands-on experience working in a high-volume manufacturing or equivalent environment.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, lab, or R&D environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands‑on work.
  • Good visual inspection skills and pattern recognition.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently and accurately.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and basic Excel use.
  • Clear communication skills for reporting issues and results.
  • Strong safety and quality mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating automated or semi‑automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Exposure to welding, laser processing, or precision manufacturing.
  • Experience in collecting and presenting production or test data.
  • Internal CelLink operators with demonstrated performance and reliability.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Work performed primarily in a manufacturing laboratory environment.
  • Use of PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection may be required.
  • Frequent computer use for data entry and documentation.

 

Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. 

Standard work schedule is 40 hours per week unless on an alternative work schedule; overtime may be required based on business needs and will be paid in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws. Travel to other CelLink sites, vendors, or customer locations may be required, depending on assignment.

Manufacturing/production area: Periodic exposure to high noise from operating equipment, moving mechanical parts, nuisance dust, and common industrial chemicals used in manufacturing. Appropriate PPE is provided and required where applicable.

The employee is required to stand, walk, reach, grasp, or move objects as part of normal manufacturing activities. Bending, balancing, or working in varied positions may be necessary. Employees may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds independently, or up to 50 pounds with assistance. Vision abilities needed for this role include the ability to read documents, operate equipment safely, and visually inspect materials.
