What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate and supervise employees in an operational unit

  • Maintain production schedules and quality of work

  • Review work orders, production specifications, technical instructions, facility requirements, tool requisitions, equipment, and supplies for department

  • Coordinate employee recruitment, selection, performance assessments, work assignments, salaries, recognition/corrective actions, promotions, transfers, and terminations

  • Review and compile operations records, such as scrap and maintenance costs

  • May have responsibility to oversee other departments as necessary

Position Details:

  • 2nd shift is generally M-F starting around 3:00 pm and may be 8,10, or 12 hours.

  • Additional hours and some weekend work may be required as business requires.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.

  • High School education or equivalent

  • Prior experience leading a team

  • Intermediate knowledge of industrial safety

  • Ability to execute strategies and initiatives

  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain and train

  • Organization and time management skills

  • Interact politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years ESP specific experience, including 1 year in a supervisory role

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements:

  • Medium work:  Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Requires Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hardhats hearing protection and respirators.

  • May stand, walk, stoop, sit, bend, twist, grasp, lift, climb,  

  • Requires visual and hearing acuity

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily occurs in a heated and air-conditioned manufacturing environment but may also be performed in a shop that is not air-conditioned.

  • Hazards include proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals

  • Atmospheric conditions that affect the respiratory system or skin may include fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation

  • Potential skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids
