What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:

The scope of the support responsibilities for the T & E Specialist onsite in Pune India includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Reviews and reconciles employee travel and expense claims against supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 

  • Audits expense claims and ensures compliance with company travel and expense policy. 

  • Liaise with the Expense vendor regarding issues and improvements to the expense systems. 

  • Creates and maintains documentation to assist employees in self-management business related expense submission.  

  • Executes reconciliation activities pertaining to corporate card transactions and employee expense claims, ensuring alignment with accounting and finance requirements and timelines. 

  • Helps updating training materials, procedures, and communications to establish consistency and best practices. 

  • Escalate discrepancies pertaining to the audit and reconciliation process and ensures that these are address in a timely fashion. 

  • Maintains daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation and operating reports. 

  • Partners with card team to ensure that cards are updated accordingly based on expense claims status. 

  • Provide input and collaborate in the creation of monthly reports to LOB leaders. 

  • Administers, monitors, reports on and provide guidance on corporate employee expense reports and the corporate credit card program. 

  • Works with management and colleagues on continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to automate or streamline the reconciliation and other ancillary processes and activities.  

  • Understand and apply applicable policies to answer questions concerning expenses. 

  • Provide optimal customer service support for employee travel and corporate card concerns regarding T&E expenses, as well as internal finance and accounting partners. 

  • Assist employees with reconciling, opening, and terminating accounts as well as resolving credit balance and other T&E reconciliation matters. 

  • Assist with projects and process development of activities surrounding travel, expense, and card initiatives. 

  • Reports to and receives direction from T& E Specialist Supervisor and Sr. Expense Program Manager

What We’re Looking For :

  • Strong verbal and written communication required

  • 2+ years of customer service experience

  • A Bachelor Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • 4+ years of total work experience in T&E

  • Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or similar areas a plus

  • Analytical and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft/Oracle/SAP Accounts payable module preferred

  • Good written and oral communication credentials

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
