Your Impact
As a Junior Field Services Technician, you will be the face of DXC at customer sites—providing dependable support, delivering quality outcomes, and ensuring every interaction reflects our core values: deliver excellence, foster collaboration, and earn trust.
You will gain practical experience across hardware support, device lifecycle management, and customer engagement, all while working with a team passionate about empowering organisations through technology.

Key Responsibilities
Customer-Focused Technical Support

• Deliver walk-up / Tech Bar support, delivering fast, effective resolutions to hardware and peripheral issues.
• Assist customers with diagnosing and resolving AV-related problems across meeting rooms and shared spaces.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, ensuring users understand activities, timelines, and next steps.
• Manage escalations and customer concerns in line with DXC processes, ensuring a seamless support experience.

Device Lifecycle & Inventory Management

• Conduct device imaging, configuration, and refresh activities, replacing aging hardware with new, modern devices.
• Maintain stock rooms, oversee device audits, and ensure accurate tracking of assets and equipment.
• Support delivery logistics, equipment staging, and storage activities.

Operational Excellence

• Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, resolutions, and device management activities.
• Follow DXC processes, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows.

Preferred Education & Experience

• Previous experience supporting customer PC environments is an advantage but not required.
• Vocational Certification, Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent experience in IT or related fields.

Basic understanding of:

• PC hardware and software functions
• Networking interfaces
• Exposure to Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, or Skype for Business is beneficial.

Additional Requirements

• Must be an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident.
• Willingness to travel to nearby customer locations as needed.
