Our team IT Manufacturing Application Development & Support(ADS) delivers software solutions to leadership and engineers throughout Micron's global manufacturing network. As IT Software Development Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., we have the chance to create and improve Micron systems and processes on a global scale. The Micron Technology IT Manufacturing Application Development & Support team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to work on Micron system design and development. As a Software Development Engineer, you will work with our team of developers, product owners, and users in an agile environment, delivering applications for auto manufacturing, yield enhancement and cycle time optimization. Ideal candidates for this role will have a deep understanding of Software Development technologies, Microservices Architecture, and Agile development processes. In this role, you’ll be expected to come up with highly creative solutions and be obsessive about the user experience. You will be working in a dynamic, iterative environment with the stability of working for a global, established and competitive technology company.

As a Software Development Engineer at Micron you will configure, develop, maintain and support Micron and third party applications. You will create and analyze software specifications, and research, design, document, modify, and support software throughout the development life cycle. You can demonstrate the functional and technical skills necessary to switch between development technologies and merge them to deliver the best solution. You have a proven ability to create quality software and participate in quality improvement efforts. You will provide solutions that create business value while at the same time minimizing negative impact through defects, downtime, or performance degradation

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Demonstrate Micron core values People, Innovation, Tenacity, Collaboration, and Customer Focus
• Collecting requirements from customer requests
• Designing, developing, debugging, documenting, testing, and deploying applications
• Collaborating with other developers on the team
• Working closely with Business Operation Teams, Product and Application Development teams, and other internal customers during application development and deployment
• Training users on the use and maintenance of new applications
• Implement 3rd party solutions and partner with the IT Procurement representative to determine contracts, support requirements, training provided, etc.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Familiar with OOP, C#, C++, Angular JS, JavaScript, Web technologies, Git, Solace, OpenShift, Database, Unit Test, Linux is preferable.
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Good skills on problem solving and analysis.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of UI/UX and prototype designing
• Hands on experience on UI/UX design using Visual Studio .Net, Angular will be a plus.
• Hands on experience on REST APIs using Express, Flask will be preferentially considered.
• Ability to extract data from different databases via SQL and other query languages.
• Growth mindset and good self-learning motivation on all new IT skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem analytics and debugging capabilities.
• Fluent English ability
• Experience related to full stack software development.
• Experience with cloud native technologies including container lifecycle and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Helm, K8S)
