This role is primarily based at our client site in Limerick, with opportunities to provide cover during holidays and sickness across our Westport, Dublin, and Limerick locations. As such, regular travel and occasional overnight stays will be required, so full flexibility is essential.

This role sits within Managed Services, a key business segment supporting the Customer Channels Group. We deliver critical, on-site services at customer locations, helping improve supply chain efficiency and research operations.
You’ll play a vital role in delivering scientific support services across our core offerings, including:
Stockroom and point-of-use inventory management
Sourcing and order management
Dock management
Laboratory support services
Autonomy with support – You’ll be trusted to manage your workload against clear goals and a structured schedule.

Provide holiday cover for regional accounts, owning responsibilities during absences
Support new customer projects and site implementations across your region
Train and mentor new team members
Review and support on-site Risk Assessments and SOPs
Conduct audits and Gemba walks to support supervisors with Statement of Work (SOW) compliance
Assess workload demands and distribute tasks effectively across the team
Manage on-site inventory replenishment and disbursement
Perform stockroom operations including receiving, put-away, stock rotation, and cycle counts
Follow established Best Practices, SOPs, and work instructions
Use internal systems to access procedures and complete required documentation
Address customer concerns promptly, aiming for resolution within agreed timelines
Act as a positive, professional ambassador for Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times
Ensure full compliance with Thermo Fisher and customer Health & Safety requirements
Support GMP-related activities where applicable
Take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve
Leaving Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with Previous relevant experience in a similar role.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to manage multiple priorities and distribute workload effectively.
Proven customer-facing experience with strong interpersonal skills
Flexible approach to travel and overnight stays.
Good understanding of service management and customer satisfaction.
Detail-oriented, solutions-focused mindset with a team-first attitude.
Strong IT skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Comfortable working with changing priorities.
Work is primarily based at customer sites, including offices, stockrooms, docks, and laboratories.
Extensive walking may be required.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 15 kg regularly (up to 20 kg occasionally).
Use of material handling equipment such as push carts and pallet jacks.
PPE may be required depending on area (lab coats, gloves, masks, safety shoes, etc.)
