What The Position Is:

As an ASM Global Sales Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Director of Sales and Sales Managers in obtaining customer satisfaction by performing clerical and administrative duties relating to client and venue communications through the sales team.  The incumbent may also perform light selling duties to small groups and functions as directed by the Director of Sales.

This position is a full time, hourly, non-exempt position at the Irving Convention Center during normal business hours Monday through Friday. This position will report to the Director of Sales.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Approaches all encounters with clients and associates in an attentive, friendly courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintains Sales files in an organized fashion and as per specified standards.
  • Demonstrates awareness of established goals for each department and the role played in the Sales process to achieve and/or exceed these goals.
  • Answers phone in a professional manner.
  • Maintains Sales system, documents, and ensures consistent accuracy.
  • Assists managers on projects including contracts, proposals, file turnovers, mail pieces, special events, cost estimates, etc.
  • Responds efficiently in planner software systems and to the client. 
  • Maintains timely and effective paper flow and communication within department and to other departments as well as clients.
  • Maintains flow of sales contracts through proper distribution to client, team, and to appropriate department head.
  • Assists clients and Associates with small change requests, etc. and completes needed paperwork for Manager.
  • Conducts site inspections for the department as needed.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Director of Sales.

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required with college course work in related field preferred.
  • Experience in a venue or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic.
  • High aptitude for advanced writing skills.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and to interact with all levels of staff including management.
  • Must be effective at listening to understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and clients.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
