Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager, Human Resources (IT) to support HR functions within our organization. The role focuses on employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management, ensuring HR practices align with company objectives and compliance standards. You will play a key part in fostering a positive work environment and supporting HR initiatives that drive employee engagement, development, and organizational growth. Your contributions will ensure HR operations are efficient, compliant, and strategic in supporting the company’s business goals.


 

Software Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with HR management systems and applicant tracking systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or similar platforms)

  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with HR analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for data-driven insights

  • Familiarity with HR automation tools and digital onboarding solutions


Overall Responsibilities

  • Support employee relations by addressing concerns and providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and benefits

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks

  • Assist in the performance management process, including coordinating evaluations, maintaining employee development plans, and supporting succession planning

  • Contribute to HR programs such as training, employee engagement initiatives, and diversity and inclusion efforts

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations across applicable regions

  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation for audits, reporting, and legal purposes

  • Collaborate with managers and teams to facilitate employee onboarding, offboarding, and other HR processes

  • Support HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving organizational effectiveness and employee experience

  • Assist the HR team in day-to-day operations and work independently on assigned responsibilities


Technical Skills (By Category)

HR Systems & Compliance

  • Required: Knowledge of HR laws, labor regulations, and best practices across jurisdictions

  • Preferred: Experience in international HR compliance and regulations


Data & Analytics

  • Required: Ability to manage and interpret HR data for decision-making

  • Preferred: Experience with HR reporting tools and dashboards


Communication & Collaboration Tools

  • Required: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Preferred: Familiarity with collaboration platforms (e.g., MS Teams, SharePoint)


Process & Project Management

  • Required: Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and tasks

  • Preferred: Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)


Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of total HR experience with at least 5 years in HR roles supporting IT or technology functions

  • Proven success in employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management

  • Demonstrable experience leading or supporting HR processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Experience managing HR initiatives that improve employee engagement and organizational culture

  • Alternative experience pathways: Candidates with significant HR generalist or specialist experience in comparable sectors or roles may be considered if they meet core competencies


Day-to-Day Activities

  • Handle employee relations inquiries, concerns, and provide HR policy guidance

  • Support recruitment activities by coordinating interviews, onboarding, and orientation sessions

  • Administer and verify employee benefits enrollment, updates, and queries

  • Assist with performance management processes, including scheduled reviews and development plans

  • Participate in HR projects related to employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and organizational initiatives

  • Maintain HR records, prepare reports, and identify compliance issues

  • Coordinate onboarding/offboarding processes and ensure a smooth employee lifecycle experience

  • Communicate policies, updates, and initiatives effectively to all employees and managers

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support HR operations and continuous improvement efforts


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is a plus

  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are preferred

  • Experience supporting IT or technology teams within a large organization is highly desirable
