Managing the changes in the United States and abroad, providing strategic evaluation of the impact existing and proposed regulations have on the broader economy and on the operation of the bank and our clients, and advocating for sound and growth-promoting policies are critical priorities for Citi.
The Head of Prudential Regulatory Policy will be a part of Citi’s Regulatory Strategy & Policy team and report directly to Citi’s Global Head of Regulatory Strategy & Policy.
The Regulatory Strategy & Policy Team is charged with analyzing financial regulatory initiatives and proposed policy and standards set by global regulators. The team drives and coordinates Citi’s regulatory policy advocacy efforts across regulatory bodies and trade organizations, strategically connecting and integrating Citi’s overall regulatory strategy and engagement as well as advising senior management on consequential financial regulatory matters.
The position involves partnering with Citi’s senior leaders across its businesses, functions, and geographies, in particular Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Government Affairs and Citi's business units to formulate and advocate for Citi’s interests regarding current and forthcoming prudential regulatory policies. The position will lead the coordination of Citi’s efforts to promote sound regulation, directly communicating with banking regulators in the United States while working closely with international team members to engage with global standard-setting bodies. The Head of Prudential Regulatory Policy will work closely with Citi’s Government Affairs and Citi’s Regulatory Engagement teams, which coordinates firm-specific legislative and supervisory interactions.
