Title: Buyer Planner

Business Platform: Commercial and Residential

Location: Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico

Reports to: Materials Supervisor

Job Description

Purchase of components and raw materials used on the manufacturing of Finished Goods.

Job Responsabilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and customer orders.

  • Execute MRP planning activities using JD Edwards (JDE).

  • Maintain planning parameters (lead times, safety stock, lot sizing).

  • Ensure raw material availability to prevent production disruptions.

  • Identify supply risks and escalate proactively.

  • Manage end-to-end purchasing process for raw materials and components (metals, electronic components, plastics, HVAC-related materials).

  • Handle overseas suppliers (Asia, Europe, LATAM or other regions).

  • Monitor international lead times, transit times, and customs processes

  • Coordinate freight forwarders and logistics teams for import shipments

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and Incoterms with global suppliers.

  • Track supplier performance (OTD, quality, responsiveness).

  • Mitigate risks related to long lead times, exchange rates, and global supply disruptions.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor Degree Preferred.

· English, Spanish fluency 90%.

· MS Office knowledge and proficiency in MS Excel.

· 4 years’ minimum purchasing and expediting experience with ERP system (JD Edwards)

· Knowledge of JIT, KANBAN and other pull systems

Onsite Work Arrangement:

This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
