Job Summary

The Procurement Sustainability Specialist leads sustainability‑focused projects and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Solenis’ strategy, regulatory requirements, and procurement processes. The role is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring key sustainability workstreams, including supplier ESG compliance, risk mitigation, and performance management.

This position owns supplier sustainability initiatives, manages sustainability data across SAP and integrated digital platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Coupa, external ESG tools), and translates data into actionable insights that support compliance and decision‑making. Working closely with suppliers and cross‑functional stakeholders, the role helps embed sustainability into core procurement workflows and drives measurable, long‑term impact.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and project management skills, a structured problem‑solving mindset, and a genuine interest in sustainability within a fast‑changing, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sustainable Procurement & Project Delivery

  • Apply Solenis procurement processes, policies, and controls to deliver sustainable procurement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage supplier sustainability and ESG compliance, including risk management, data collection, and alignment with regulatory requirements and Solenis strategy.
  • Own sustainability KPI definition, tracking, reporting, and action plans to meet annual targets, ensuring accurate and timely data across systems.
  • Support corporate sustainability reporting and external assessments (e.g., CDP, EcoVadis, MSCI, S&P), while benchmarking sustainable procurement trends and best practices.
  • Drive sustainability awareness and adoption across Procurement through structured communication and intranet content

Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze and transform large sustainability datasets from multiple internal and external sources to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop data‑driven solutions to improve supplier ESG data collection, reporting efficiency, and KPI performance (e.g., Supplier Code of Conduct, EcoVadis, human rights due diligence, supplier diversity).
  • Design and maintain clear, interactive dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Tableau) to monitor supplier ESG performance and overall supply‑chain sustainability health.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sustainability, Regulatory, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, HR, IT, and Sales
  • Present insights and recommendations clearly to senior and executive stakeholders

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Address complex challenges related to regulations, due diligence, and process integration
  • Develop practical, innovative solutions to improve processes and support business growth

Profile & Capabilities

  • Strong interest in sustainability and commitment to continuous learning
  • Solid understanding of procurement and sustainability concepts and processes
  • Proven experience in procurement analytics, reporting, and data‑driven decision‑making
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities (at least 3 years)
  • High attention to detail and disciplined, process‑driven approach
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, Tableau, Coupa, Excel, PowerPoint (Lotus Notes a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, cross‑functional environment
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, accountability, and constructive influence
