Credentialing Specialist – Professional Staff Office  

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Credentialing Specialist
  • Location: Skokie, IL
  • Full Time – 40 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 5pm
  • Required Travel: N/A

Job Summary:

Your primary responsibility in this role is to process initial applications and reappointments for the physicians and advanced practice providers for the NorthShore Hospitals. This encompasses partnering with the CVO on processes, managing clinical privilege requests, data entry and use of the MSOW database.   

What you will do:

  • Initial Application Processing of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers
  • Reappointment of Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers
  • Data Quality and Reporting
  • Maintenance of Membership and Privilege Requests

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.  Credentialing data base management a plus.  Excellent phone skills required.  Ability to work well with others, especially physicians. 
  • Experience: 2 Years credentialing or enrollment experience required
  • Certification: NAMSS certification preferred
