The Opportunity
The Willow Creek Area team is seeking a skilled Electrical Instrumentation & Controls (EIC) Technician to join our operations team. Reporting to the Area Manager, the EIC Controls Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining natural gas compression and auxiliary equipment, including electronic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical control systems, devices, measurement, and ancillary equipment, in a manner that supports safe, reliable operations and complies with company and regulatory requirements. The role also requires supporting work across disciplines as needed.
This is a fully qualified field role suited to a safety-focused, self-motivated, resourceful, and competent technician with strong troubleshooting ability, sound judgment, and demonstrated experience supporting station operations, maintenance, reliability, and emergency response.
The role supports a diverse asset base that includes aero-derivative and gas driven compressors up to 42,000 HP, as well as custody transfer measurement stations across the Willow Creek Area. The successful candidate will be expected to work in a manner that reflects TC Energy’s Four Pillars: Safety, People, Operational Performance, and Financial Stewardship, while demonstrating a commitment to continual learning and the ability to adapt to and champion change.
*The position will be based out of Airdrie, Alberta. This position may support surrounding facilities depending on operational needs.
