The Value Stream Manager is responsible for leading the Loader value stream within the Orlando manufacturing facility, with full accountability for production performance and unit shipping. This role drives plant performance through effective leadership, strategic planning, and execution of initiatives aligned with business objectives.

This position oversees daily operations, mid- to long-term improvement initiatives, resource planning, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure delivery of safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) targets. The Value Stream Manager serves as the primary connection between the manufacturing floor and plant leadership, ensuring alignment, execution, and operational excellence across the value stream.

Strategic & Operational Planning

  • Lead the Loader value stream with full ownership of production and unit shipping performance

  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned to business objectives, customer demand, and production targets

  • Drive mid- to long-term initiatives focused on improving throughput, efficiency, and overall value stream performance

  • Manage production capacity, line balancing, and resource allocation to meet fluctuating market demand

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Own and deliver SQDC metrics for the Loader value stream

  • Forecast staffing, expenditures, unit completions, and operational performance metrics

  • Analyze performance gaps, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions

  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen and Rapid Continuous Improvement (RCI) events

  • Facilitate Tier 3 GEMBA meetings and represent the value stream in Tier IV and executive-level reviews

  • Drive a culture of accountability, operational discipline, and data-driven decision making

Team & Talent Management

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of supervisors and frontline leaders across production and shipping

  • Own hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development within the value stream

  • Build and execute succession plans to strengthen leadership bench strength

  • Establish and maintain effective staffing models to support production goals and operational stability

Financial & Resource Management

  • Develop and manage departmental budgets aligned with operational goals

  • Oversee capital expenditure (CapEx) planning and execution for equipment, tooling, and process improvements

  • Ensure effective utilization of labor, materials, and operational resources

  • Manage vendor performance related to cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services supporting production

Quality & Customer Focus

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for manufacturing-related quality issues within the value stream

  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts for customer-impacting issues

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and drive continuous improvement in product quality and reliability

Safety, Compliance & Standards

  • Champion a safety-first culture across the value stream

  • Conduct regular safety audits and lead 5S and workplace organization initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements

  • Lead investigations into workplace incidents with a focus on root cause and preventative action

Process & System Optimization

  • Lead value stream mapping activities and drive implementation of future-state processes

  • Optimize workflow, equipment layout, and space utilization to improve efficiency and reduce waste

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of operational data within ERP systems (Syteline) and reporting tools

  • Standardize processes and drive consistency across production and shipping operations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Eight plus years of related work experience

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience leading operations within heavy manufacturing, large equipment assembly, or complex production environments

  • Demonstrated experience managing fabrication, weld, paint, or similar manufacturing processes

  • Proven ability to lead full value stream ownership, including both production and downstream operations such as shipping or logistics

  • Strong background in Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies

  • Ability to quickly assess operational challenges, identify constraints, and implement practical, scalable solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, resources, and timelines in a dynamic manufacturing environment

  • Experience leading through change and driving measurable performance improvements

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and capital projects

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word

Pay Range:

$103,300.00 - $177,700.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
