We are seeking a full-time Benefits Specialist at our corporate headquarters in Parsippany, NJ to join the human resources division. This role is responsible for the administration of all US and Canada benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, leave and disability, and retirement benefits. 

 

In this role, you will support the day-to-day administration of the company’s employee benefit programs within the Total Rewards function. This role ensures accurate processing of benefit transactions, provides exceptional service to employees, and maintains compliance with established policies and procedures. The Benefits Specialist collaborates closely with HR, Payroll, and external vendors to ensure accurate administration and seamless employee experience. This role will start on site eventually transitioning to Hybrid (3 Days in Office) following training.  

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

  • Assist with the day-to-day benefits administration, HSA, ACA, 401(k) and Pension Plans 

  • Responsible for payment of benefits invoices, reconciliation, and data audits 

  • Help maintain internal benefits compliance calendar and support all benefit compliance initiatives 

  • Support open enrollment activities including communications, testing, and system validation 

  • Respond to escalated employee cases regarding plan coverage, eligibility, and processes 

  • Assist in ensuring that our benefits operations are compliant with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations 

  • Assist and support wellness initiatives, communication and events 

  • Coordinate with benefits vendors and third-party administrators to resolve issues 

  • Help prepare benefits communications, reports, and presentations 

  • Participate in audits and data reconciliation activities 

  • Support benefit communication initiatives and ensure all benefits materials are easy-to-find, posted on the company intranet and are consistently updated as needed 

  • Participate in benefits projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned 

  • Assist with the benefits renewal process, including gathering data, reviewing plan materials, preparing for open enrollment and communications support as needed 

  • Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field. 

  • 1-2 years of experience in human resources, with benefits administration a plus. 

  • A detailed-oriented, analytical thinker, who naturally takes initiative and solves problems. 

  • Understanding of employee benefit fundamentals 

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills 

 

The annual starting salary for this position is between $70,000 – $85,000 annually. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
