Job Description

Advanced Technology Lab is the corporate-level research lab tasked with

a) identifying,

b) assessing,

c) developing,

d) transitioning advanced industrial automation and information technologies to support and influence future strategic goals.

Reporting into the Technology Intelligence function, the Research Data Specialist will help the team collect, organize, maintain and manage data.

You will work as a software practitioner able to incrementally develop and improve solutions for gathering, organizing, linking, analyzing, querying, visualizing data and knowledge.

You will also be asked to contribute to improvement efforts to simplify and improve existing data and knowledge management processes. This is unique opportunity to work with the intelligence team supporting knowledge management, including connecting knowledge graphs and LLMs.

Knowledge and data management play an important part in informing partners who make strategic decisions. As a Research Data Specialist, you will work with diverse engineering and business teams to collect, manage and deliver critical decision support information. Over time, you will support a team that needs to perform the following tasks:

  • Data Organization and Management – maintain data sets of important information gathered.

  • Analytics – analyze data gathered to define the best characteristics and trend how fast key figures of merit are changing.

  • Report, Dashboarding and Visualization – create dashboards and other infographics to help partners quickly comprehend findings.

  • Knowledge Management – overall management of content created from collected data. Knowledge Management can include data management tools like knowledge graphs.

  • Use your software engineering skills to provide support to the above functions of the competitive intelligence team.

  • Curate and manage custom searches to keep important partners updated in areas of interest (watch lists).

You will report directly to the AT Lab Manager located in Czech Republic, Prague. You will work with the team in the hybrid system in our office in Prague.

Requirements/Qualifications:

You need to have:

  • At least Bachelor's Degree in software development or information sciences.

  • Experience with data management is valued.

  • Organizational skills - You will support managing large amounts of collected data and collecting of new data.

  • Proficient in written and spoken English

  • Research and analytical skills and attention to detail. You need to process large amounts of information quickly and assess it critically.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Legal authorization to work in Prague, Czech Republic. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

  • Knowledge of one of: Power BI, Tableau, SPARQL, knowledge graphs, LLMs/GenAI.

  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work creatively in both collaborative and independent settings.

  • You will use scripts or tools to extract and manipulate data from a variety of sources, including web services and API's.

  • You will collaborate with different partners and produce deliverables individually or in partnership with an interdisciplinary team.
