Job Profile:

The Analyst is to provide support to Sales Area Business Controller and Business Line Manager. Understand business/economic/environmental drivers of Actual results versus Budget and Forecasts. Ensure on time reporting (actuals, forecasts and targets). Supporting, monitoring, measuring the operation with analysis, advice and tools to optimise performance.

Implement and follow-up the application and adherence of the Sandvik, SRP and Global Sales policies, procedures and controls. Ensure correct valuation of assets and liabilities within their line organisations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrates personal responsibility and accountability for individual and others safety. Active participation to enhance safety and health and improves the environmental performance of our processes.
  • The process of giving efficient, reliable and proactive financial support to improve business performance.
  • Takes an active part in decisions affecting the business by conducting continuous follow-up of performance. “Makes numbers talk” by communicating relevant financial analysis to the right people at the right time to clarify financial implications of possible business decisions, suggesting improvements.
  • Ensure compliance and execution of Internal Control and Internal Audit activities.
  • Reporting of actual, forecast and target results for the PA.
  • Supporting activities of Audit (Group, Stat, Cost)
  • Ensuring global & local compliance with accounting standards and guidelines across the frontline operations
  • Be proactive in operational and profitability improvement opportunities within the Sales Area operations
  • Responsible for capital employed efficiency programs within the Sales Area operations
  • Front line support for Anti-Corruption and Compliance matters (including commercial intermediaries’ selection and approval procedure)
  • Inventory and fixes asset management including reporting
  • Complies with SRP EHS policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements.
  • Identifies and reports any unsafe work practices.
  • Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Company Values and current Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Takes responsibility for personal development and enhancement of skills.
  • Good skills in communication and people development

Position Requirements:

Education / Experience:

  • MBA/PGDM Finance or Equivalent
  • 6 - 8 years of accounting experience.
  • Exposure to the mining, construction or engineering industries is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Proficient in analysis and reporting tools and data management
