WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Reporting to Senior Director, Sports Marketing Business Affairs, APLA, you’ll work with various stakeholders across Nike’s territory / regional Sports Marketing, Brand Marketing, Operations and Product teams to execute sports marketing strategies, as well as a diverse range of athletes, agents, teams and governing bodies across the country.   

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As our Philippines Sports Marketing Manager, you’ll fuel the growth of the business and the brand in the Philippines by executing SEA&I’s Sports Marketing’s strategy while ensuring product, service, marketing and contract fulfilments are met to serve your target consumer of Nike sponsored athletes and teams. This includes -

  • 8+ years’ experience in Sports Marketing and/or sports industry, working with elite athletes in a corporate environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or related field preferred. 

  • Portfolio Management: managing & leveraging investments across the portfolio.

  • Partnership Management: ability to develop & cultivate internal/external partnerships (brand & biz, athlete teams).

  • Negotiate complex contracts.

  • Leverage athletes & teams to drive business growth.

  • Own local product servicing across all assets.

  • Be an effective & inclusive team player and a positive influence.

  • Advise others on complex matters that leverage Sports Industry Expertise.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

In this role, you’ll develop and drive the country sports marketing strategy, focused on seeking, signing, serving and leveraging athletes across multiple categories to grow the brand and business. This includes identifying talent across multiple sporting disciplines, building relationships with athletes, agents and coaches, and negotiating endorsement contracts on behalf of Nike. To that end, you’ll,

  • Maximize our contractual rights to strengthen our connection with the consumer and fuel the business growth.

  • Focus efforts to serve and manage a diverse portfolio of individual/team/federation endorsements with a focused scope to seek and sign.

  • Review and align Invest/Divest strategies against those portfolio investments.

  • Multi-functional key stakeholder engagement: Drive alignment across the gender construct, brand, comms and product.

  • Developing and maintaining strong Partnerships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • Ensure Sports Marketing assets are leveraged as an integral part of Territory/Geo seasonal marketing/comms initiatives.

  • Facilitate our athletes & teams connection to the product creation process to help drive innovation, performance and style for both on and off the field of play.

  • Day to day product servicing of all country assets. Includes ordering product, in bound delivery, system call offs, releasing of aged product in a timely manner.
