Clinical Nurse IV provides and ensures the provision of direct care to patients that is consistent with the philosophy and the goals of the Division of Nursing, the Department and the Patient Care Unit. Assesses changing needs of patients during the shift and makes adjustments in assignments as appropriate. Attends to patient satisfaction needs in a courteous manner and timely fashion. Assesses patient needs according to the OR scheduled procedures up to 72 hours prior to case start. Orders and provides supplies, implants and equipment appropriate to procedures. Works with surgical teams to determine preferences, standards of practice and individual needs of each surgeon.
