The Center for Teaching Excellence is hiring undergraduate students to serve as teaching consultants. Undergraduate Student Teaching Consultants (USTCs) will draw on their unique perspective as students and learn to communicate this expertise effectively to faculty. USTCs will be trained to consult with UVA instructors this summer and throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
COMPENSATION
Training hours, regular meetings and consultations will be compensated at $17/hour.
Undergrad student wage position for less than 20 hours per week.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
ELIGIBILITY
All UVA undergraduate students enrolled in 12 credit hours or more are eligible to apply. Since we seek to create a diverse team, applications from students with diverse experiences and backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to students who will begin their 2nd or 3rd year in Fall 2026.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
