Position Overview:


The Director Talent Acquisition acts as a strategic partner to the International leadership team, shaping and driving the execution of talent acquisition strategies that will support the business growth and expansion. This person will report to the VP, Global Talent Acquisition and be part of the Global Talent Acquisition Leadership Team (TALT). The International TA Leader will manage and lead the recruitment strategy and actions to support the International business needs. This person will be a key partner to the HR Team, HR Business Partners, and HR Centers of Excellence and have the ability to manage both strategic priorities and tactical execution. The key areas of focus will be leadership of the International team, recruitment, market scanning, using sourcing strategies and tools to identify key talent, diverse talent pooling, effective workforce planning, and providing a best-in-class employee experience.


              Responsibilities:  

  • Manage and lead the TA strategy to support the Int’l business plan, road map and actions.
  • Manage and lead Int’l talent acquisition team, with a focus on high performance and consistency.
  • Acts as a thought leader for Int’l talent acquisition strategies both to the business and as a member of TALT.
  • Provides strategic leadership with regards to consistent, replicable, effective sourcing and recruitment methodologies, with a keen focus on process and continuous improvement driven by people analytics and human capital insights.
  • Creates workforce planning strategies for Int’l growth and expansion, including New Market Entry, working in close collaboration with Finance, HRBP, Business Leaders and Talent CoE.
  • Develops and sustains our employer brand nationally, including creating local reputation and promoting Insulet as an employer of choice, in line with Global strategy.
  • Networks with other in-market TA leaders to learn best practices, understand market trends and periodically benchmark within and across industries to identify potential talent opportunities.
  • Builds strong relationships with key leaders and serves as the subject matter expert in all areas of talent acquisition for designated area.
  • Manages stakeholders and recruiting partners to drive effective recruiting efforts to ensure all recruitment channels are returning high quality talent at the required scale.
  • Provides market research, competitive intelligence and analysis and defines sourcing strategies based on required skills and capabilities, building on strong local networks.
  • Integrates DEI across all TA activities and works closely with the ERG’s to attract, on-board and retain a workforce that reflects the diversity of the patients we are serving.
  • Builds on previous recruiting experience with demonstrated expertise to source passive candidates using innovative sourcing approaches.
  • Provides hands-on recruitment related support and manages the search process for positions including executive level hires.
  • Conducts coaching and training for hiring managers on best practices related to recruiting and interviewing practices and processes for high quality selection decisions.
  • Creates and provides on a quarterly basis valuable analytics and insights on the effectiveness of the Int’l talent acquisition team.
  • Works with the University Relations Center of Excellence on an aligned strategy to leverage local networks and develop tactics and strategies with universities and trade schools to enhance talent pipelines.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable country regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree and demonstrable progressive strategic and operational talent acquisition leadership experience.

  • Experience in a highly matrixed environment; driving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Results driven with experience delivering results across a team environment.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and candidates.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading edge recruitment strategies and techniques – including social media, targeted networking and recruiting process design.
  • Excellent research/sourcing skills, including use of Boolean, LinkedIn, and alternative search techniques to identify and source diverse candidates and critical skills in a very competitive talent market.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong conflict management, problem solving skills, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise utilizing Microsoft Office, Internet recruiting tools, and
  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Advanced internet recruiting and Boolean search skills
  • Knowledgeable on local federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

  • Travel may be required up to 5-10% of the time.
