We are seeking a hard-working, innovative, detail-oriented, and creative team player to join our Aptive team! This is a full-time Sales Compensation Manager position located in Provo, Utah. This role involves managing the implementation, administration, and optimization of compensation programs. Additionally, the Manager communicates with sales representatives and leaders regarding commission payments and calculations, while also providing insightful compensation analytics to drive performance and decision-making.

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicate with Sales Reps and Sales Leadership (40% - Daily)

  • Create and Update Sales Backend Sheets (20% - Weekly)

  • Audit Compensation Calculations & Reporting (30% - Weekly)

  • Manage Direct Reports - administrative assistant or analyst (30% - Daily)

  • Make routine decisions related to basic problem-solving issues raised by Sales Representatives, such as questions regarding compensation calculations or details

  • Determine how compensation and backend structures are presented to Sales Reps, ensuring visibility and efficiency in reporting

  • Consult with other stakeholders when addressing solutions that impact the broader Sales Organization or require alignment across departments

  • Work closely with their direct manager and two administrative team members

  • Interact with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Accounting, Sales Operations, and the Sales Organization to ensure accurate compensation administration, aligning compensation strategies with

  • financial goals, and supporting the broader sales structure

  • Ensure the accuracy and transparency of sales compensation, directly contributing to organizational goals such as 100% pay accuracy for all Sales Representatives

  • Help the Sales Organization understand their compensation with trust, clarity, and engagement to impact sales rep retention, morale, and overall operational efficiency

  • Oversee the administrative or analytical support provided by the other Sales Compensation Manager’s team member

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience managing one or more direct reports is required.

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets is required, including a basic understanding of formulas in both Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience in accounting, business operations, or Workday Payroll System is a plus

  • Preferably a background in the door-to-door (D2D) sales space

  • Strong listening and comprehension skills

  • Problem-solving experience

  • Strong understanding of fundamental mathematical operations—such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division—is essential, along with comfort working with fractions, decimals, and

  • percentages

  • Proficiency with the broader Google Workspace (Docs, Gmail, Forms, Slides) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively is required. Candidates must be able to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and demonstrate the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Strong communication skills are essential, including in-person interactions, professional email etiquette, and effective phone communication

  • Demonstrate creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to navigate complex issues, identify solutions, and communicate them clearly to various stakeholders
