The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and maintaining McNeilus Manufacturing’s production services and delivery schedules for front, side, and rear refuse truck operations. This role ensures accurate order management, schedule visibility, and on-time delivery while leading a team of six.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned: 

  • Coordinate all activities related to sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.

  •  Manage master and tactical schedules to align with production requirements and delivery commitments.

  •  Facilitate daily meetings with manufacturing managers and supervisors to review scheduling updates and priorities.

  • Supervise and maintain delivery and ship dates, ensuring customer commitments are met.

  • Organize and prepare materials for upcoming jobs.

  • Assist production management with metrics, reporting, and visibility to schedules, leveraging tools such as Excel and Power BI.

  • Pull and integrate orders into MRP/ERP systems to improve accessibility and visibility of upcoming schedules across the production team.

  • Monitor workloads to prevent schedule overloads and proactively resolve bottlenecks.

  • Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports and make compensation recommendations within guidelines.

  • Participate in the Management Resource Planning (MRP) process, ensuring career development plans are maintained for all direct reports.

  • Provide regular schedule updates and reporting to management.

  • Review Labor Requirements for weekly, monthly, quarterly volume changes

  • Conduct cross functional Sales Inventory and Operation reviews

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five plus years of related work experience

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Strong problem-solving, technical, and negotiation skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

The following represents general working conditions for this office-based role. Specific conditions may vary depending on business needs and individual circumstances. 

  • This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and temperature-controlled settings. 

  • Duties are largely sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting and using a computer and telephone. 

  • Visual acuity to operate a computer and read documents is required, along with auditory ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings. 

  • Occasional movement within the office environment is necessary, including walking short distances, standing, or reaching for files.

Pay Range:

$82,000.00 - $132,800.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
