Your New Role:
The Senior Unified Communications Technician is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of all audiovisual (AV), video teleconferencing (VTC), and telephony systems within the organization. This role involves managing in-house AV equipment in conference rooms, handling TV (IPTV) systems within the office, and being the main contact for major event preparation and technical operations for all live events. The Unified Communications Technician will also provide guidance and design recommendations for all related systems.

Your Role Accountabilities:

OPERATIONS/PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Support and manage AV, VTC, and phone issues.
  • Oversee the management of in-house AV equipment in conference rooms.
  • Support TV (IPTV) systems within the office.
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of the systems.

ENGINEERING

  • Serve as the main contact for major event preparation and technical operations for live events.
  • Manage Zoom Phone and other communication tools.
  • Provide guidance and design recommendations for all related systems.
  • Ensure the quality, reliability, and security of the unified communications infrastructure.
  • Establish and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for the unified communications systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Unified Communications or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in managing AV, VTC, and telephony systems.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving skills, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under a variety of conditions and handle high-level customers.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Experience with Zoom and Teams AV, Phone, and Events
  • Knowledge of IPTV and Digital Signage Systems
  • Knowledge of AV devices (Crestron, Poly, Logitech, etc.)
  • Experience with maintaining and supporting Screening Rooms (Theatrical releases, All Hands and Global Town Halls.)
  • Experience in event preparation and technical operations for live events; including special Audio considerations and Video sharing
  • Room installation experience

Not Required but preferred experience:

  • Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.)
  • Familiarity with streaming and similar products/services
  • Experience working in a national or global company
  • Comfortable working in highly iterative and somewhat unstructured environment

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $81,760.00 - $151,840.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
