Raytheon is seeking a Requirements and Capabilities Associate Director to support customer engagement across the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility and Mexico.  The Associate Director manages interactions with SOUTHCOM, individual countries across the region and business units within Raytheon to identify and capture opportunities in conjunction with the numerous product lines across the Raytheon portfolio.

As part of the Global Requirements and Capabilities team, the Associate Director will be responsible for mapping the United States’ and partners’ defense and security priorities across the region and developing strategies for facilitating customer engagement.  

What You Will Do

  • Plan, coordinate and meet with SOUTHCOM representatives
  • Plan, coordinate and meet with regional and country specific representatives
  • Identify regional and country specific defense and security priorities
  • Identify the specific opportunities for pursuit and capture by the Raytheon businesses
  • Contribute to the capture process for those specific opportunities in conjunction with the Raytheon businesses and product lines
  • Contribute to the development of Long Range and Annual Operating plans in the region
  • Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions
  • Domestic and International travel 15%

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 12 years of experience in defense and security, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with defense and security partners in South America and Mexico
  • Experience with Security Cooperation practices of the United States Government
  • Experience with Mexico and South America defense and security concerns and priorities
  • Experience engaging with Mexico and South America regional defense and security partners

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with the Foreign Military Sales process
  • Experience leading and working with teams to achieve goals
  • Experience with project and/or program management
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
