Employment Type: Permanent part time
Hours per week: 24

Salary: $ 109,945.46 Base salary per annum

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Haematology service.

Cancer services is currently recruiting a Haematology Cancer Care Coordinator.

Cancer services at the Kinghorn Cancer Centre is seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team as a Cancer Care Coordinator. 

The successful applicant will be working across in our Haematology service with a particular interest in cellular therapy and transfusions.

Key activities for this position include:

  • Facilitating the continuity of patient care
  • Awareness of consultations, treatment plans and treatment outcomes
  • Facilitating treatment scheduling
  • Guiding patients and carers to information and services
  • Participating in multidisciplinary care team meetings and communicating outcomes to members of health care teams
  • Monitor the implementation of care against the patient care plan.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency

3.Relevant post registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience in cancer nursing

4.Effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills

5.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team

6.Demonstrated ability to deliver and evaluate quality patient care and knowledge of the quality improvement framework

7.Demonstrated ability to undertake and facilitate nursing and collaborative research projects and activities
