Job Profile Summary

Provides technical consulting services to clients in the discipline of system architecture and component integration, particularly across both Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Engineered Systems environments.  As a Team Lead, supporting members of the technical Oracle Infrastructure team in selecting, managing, and implementing systems.  Translates business requirements into technical requirements and assists other team members in implementing the solution; works independently within a business area to influence technical decisions during the development phase of the project.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist in managing a team responsible for Oracle-based Infrastructure projects and operational deliverables (Management).
  • Gathers technical requirements and translates requirements into infrastructure and software capabilities (Technical).
  • Communicates technical architecture direction and coordinates technical proof of concept analyses (Technical).
  • Assists in solving technical and performance problems within the technical infrastructure (Technical).
  • Participates in providing gap analyses, from a technical perspective, highlighting current state, future state, client needs, best practices and competition (Business).
  • Interacts with confidence and ease when interacting with middle- and senior-level managers (client and company); uses complex strategies like indirect influence to build consensus and support (Relationship Management).
  • Assists sales staff in qualifying leads and generating proposals (Leverage).
  • Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel (Leadership).
  • Communicates in formal presentation settings including proposal orals, client workshops and regional internal events; develops proposal sections, methodology work products and formal written deliverables covering area(s) of expertise (Communication).

Basic Qualifications

  • Team Lead experience – at least 1 year
  • OCI architecting and implementation experience – at least 3 years
  • Administration experience with Oracle Engineered Systems (Exadata and/or ODA) – at least 2 years
  • Consulting experience with technical architecture analysis and design in Oracle-based environments – at least 5 years
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Good Linux/UNIX skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    •  Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Must be physically based in Australia – any Australian state is acceptable
  • Able to obtain an Australian security clearance – minimum Baseline, preferred NV2

  • Proven technical infrastructure design skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment
  • Ability to devise creative technical solutions
  • Relevant OCI & Oracle certifications
  • Experience with Oracle ZDLRA Engineered Systems would be an advantage

Work Environment

  • Hybrid – primarily WFH, but with regular office attendance
  • May require evening or weekend work
