Our client, a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a dedicated Medical Affairs Lead for Haematology. As a key member of the Pharma Research & Development Unit, you will play a crucial role in shaping medical strategies, leading a team of advisors, and acting as a pivotal medical resource.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Strategy Development: Build and implement the medical strategy for the haematology therapeutic area and its products.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of medical/scientific advisors within the therapeutic area.
  • Expert Engagement: Supervise key experts’ engagement and advice-seeking activities for haematology products.
  • Clinical Research Support: Act as a medical resource for clinical research, including protocol and Clinical Report Form review, adverse events, and discussions with investigators.
  • Market Access Collaboration: Provide medical input to the Market Access department.
  • Product Development: Offer expert input into product development teams and support launched products within marketing teams.
  • Representation: Represent the company through presentations to groups of experts, societies, regulatory bodies, and at international meetings.
  • Liaison: Establish ongoing relationships with key opinion leaders, government officials, and senior regulatory authorities.
  • Field Monitoring: Ensure significant developments in the field are identified and monitored.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate and provide guidance to key stakeholders across departments in the region.

Role Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Advanced Degree in a scientific, medically related, or life science field. Ph.D. is mandatory. MD preferred, with a specialty in Haematology or Oncology being a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in oncology within the pharmaceutical industry (mandatory).
  • Expertise: Cutting-edge knowledge in Haematology and Oncology.
  • People Management: Proven experience in managing teams (mandatory).
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English (mandatory).
  • Drug Development Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of drug development, GCP, and regulations.
  • Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix team environment to deliver solutions.
  • Documentation and Presentation: Strong skills in documentation and presentation, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Marketing Understanding: Knowledge of marketing principles and strategies.
  • Customer Focus: Strong focus on patient and customer needs, with integrity and excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Project Management: Capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resilience and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to change, with resilience and a commitment to lifelong learning.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
