Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Principal Project Manager/ Sr Principal Project Manager. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel Program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You’ll Get To Do. 
This position will support the Test Site Support Team as part of the Sentinel Program.  The Test Site Support Team, a sub-team of the Sentinel System Test Team, manages Air Force lab designs and builds, test rehearsal and execution, test equipment design, build, and integration, and other key functions in support of the program.  

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Direct customer interface, including coordinating deliveries, engineering reviews, and other customer communications.

  • Managing contractual communications and negotiations.

  • Facilitating facility improvement requests and facility requirement document delivery.

  • Creating and maintaining metrics.


This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Principal Project Manager: 5 Years with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 4 additional years of relevant experience may be added in lieu of degree.

  • Sr Principal Project Manager: 8 Years with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 additional years of relevant experience may be added in lieu of degree.

  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance (Secret, Top Secret; etc.)

  • Experience dealing directly with customers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PPT).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA.

  • Sales experience.

  • Public relations experience.

  • Team management experience.

  • Experience managing multiple parallel tasks in a successful manner.

  • MS Project experience.

  • Metric creation and maintenance experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Jira, and Confluence.

  • Experience creating communication products and briefs.

  • Experience creating and managing performance metrics.

Salary Range: $76,600.00 - $115,000.00Salary Range 2: $95,000.00 - $142,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
