Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Global Business Development- International Government Relations team in our Corporate Office at our Falls Church, Virginia location.

As a key member of the Northrop Grumman Corporate team, the Administrative Assistant will provide high-level administrative and organizational support to multiple executive team members. The Administrative Assistant serves a critical role in coordinating and managing several schedules, meeting arrangements, documentation, and projects.

The ideal candidate is experienced, flexible, and highly detailed oriented, with strong time-management skills and a desire to develop new skillsets.

This position requires the Administrative Assistant to perform advanced administrative duties with exposure to sensitive information necessitating tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment. Strong integrity is essential, and the candidate must be comfortable working in a high energy, collaborative, diverse, professional environment.

Roles and responsibilities of the VP Administrative Assistant will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Providing administrative support to several executives simultaneously.

  • Handling details of a highly confidential and critical nature.

  • Collecting and preparing information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and outside individuals.

  • Preparing presentation materials for leadership meetings.

  • Exercising judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Facilitating program meetings, executive meetings, and customer visits.

  • Working within the broader corporate team to manage larger projects.

  • Developing working relationships with sectors.

  • Operating independently to meet requirements of leadership team and offering expertise to assist other functions within organization.

  • Assisting events and activities of major organization initiatives.

  • Report generation and compilation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant experience in the administrative professional field or Associate's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience in the administrative professional field OR Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience in the administrative professional field.

  • Understand the sensitive nature of working in the executive office and have good judgement, problem solving skills and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently, foresee future needs and be proactive.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment

  • Ability to solve problems and meet deadlines with a great level of flexibility.

  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple administrative projects and initiatives; experience in supporting a variety of executive levels, management level and administrative support within an organization.

  • Computer skills required include advanced expertise in Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) and intranet/internet proficiency.

  • Experience with Concur (or similar) travel and expense reporting system.

  • Experience proofreading and correcting documents for grammatical errors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.

  • Familiarity with Northrop Grumman’s specific systems (SAP, Concur, Facilities requests, IBUY, etc.).

  • Knowledge of NGC resources, policies, and procedures.

  • Experience and proficiency with Concur (or similar) travel and expense reporting system.

  • Experience and proficiency with Salesforce.

Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $106,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
