As a DRAM Technology Reliability Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing test programs for use in the various facets of the reliability processes. You will be required to modify, write, and maintain stress and characterization (char) test programs using internal tester hardware and software to evaluate DRAM product reliability.

As part of our technology team, you will be passionate about evaluating novel circuit design and experimental process technologies for reliability risks which will become a foundation of Micron’s future products. In this role, you will collaborate with partners and contribute in Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Technology Development, and Global Quality to evaluate and implement corrective action to reliability, design, and process issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Build design of experiments for reliability evaluations that capture inputs from key partners and are aligned with department goals.

  • Understand basic CMOS reliability physics mechanisms and their impact on product reliability.

  • Develop stress patterns to induce the intended degradation mechanism(s) on the target device(s) and circuitry.

  • Develop characterization patterns to accurately measure changes in operating current, timing, or functionality brought out by degradation.

  • Use existing verification tools as well as build new tools to guarantee test program functionality and quality.

  • Drive improvements in test methodology by implementing industry practices and reliability strategies.

  • Support the worldwide reliability test team by crafting staffing, equipment plans, and capacity schedules.

  • Become a subject matter expert in the reliability test field and help to mentor junior team members on reliability and programming topics.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in Intermediate to advanced programming capability [C++ or Python]

  • Experience with basic Unix / Linux environments

  • Understanding of basic statistics and data analytics skills

  • Excellent project management skills and problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of logic gate and CMOS transistor operations

  • A self-motivated, hard-working team player who enjoys working with diverse abilities and backgrounds!

  • Good communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to other design peers in verbal and written form

  • Having an innovative approach that is open to improving upon any of our processes or products

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

This will be a hybrid position located in Boise, ID
