Summary:
The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of all aspects of OneDigital’s LAN and WAN networks, datacenters, virtual/cloud infrastructure and connectivity to physical locations. They participate in monitoring, capacity planning, maintenance, disaster recovery, user / hardware support, vendor management of all network related activities. This includes definition and implementation of network security and remediation activities. The position involves both maintenance, support and working on multi-discipline project teams to accomplish various business objectives and IT services tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Works on projects/systems/issues of a medium to high complexity
Provides operational support, administration, maintenance for network systems and sometimes taking the lead role
Adheres to the direction for LAN/WAN, internet, wireless and remote access services and security
Participates in strategic planning, budgeting and execution
Customer Focus on business partnerships and relationships to gather detailed requirements for discussions on prioritization and implementation of work
Creates network and security including documentation and support training for Support Desk team members
Captures and helps determine impact analysis on existing network architecture, process workflow, approvals and systems
Maintains and creates documentation (architectural and detailed design or support/training)
Works with internet service providers or various vendors to ensure the utmost uptime is achieved along with doing whatever is necessary to accomplish the objective(s) and needs of the organization
When necessary, this individual provides the organization or team any needed or required tasks in or outside the scope of this role
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
Must be a team player
Analytical thinker with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Must have excellent time management skills
Ability to self-direct/manage and follow processes
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service.
Knowledge of CCNA, CCNP, Cisco Meraki, Sonicwall, AlwaysOn VPN, Mitel, load balancing, WAF, Linux, Microsoft
Education, Training and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant networking work experience
Experience with a wide variety of networking technologies required
Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
