What You’ll Do

Represents OccuMed in a professional, kind, and courteous manner as the first point of contact to our patients and our employers either at the front desk or on the telephone. Responsible for coordinating front office duties: maintains daily schedule with chart preparation and accurate admitting of daily patients. Processes office paperwork efficiently and accurately and performs cashier duties. Medical Assistants may be trained to assist with work up of physicals, drug screens and even assist with care of injury and non-injury patients during office visits. Communicates with company representative when problem issues arise during patient visits.

Requirements

AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.

Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Certification within 6 months of hire and maintain active certification.

Current Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.

NDASA Certification within 6 months of hire and maintain active certification.

WorkSTEPS certification within 6 months of hire.
