Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring a First-Line Manufacturing Manager to lead the machine operations and assembly team in Helena, Montana. This position supports a 4x10 work schedule, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will enable our business unit to embrace and elevate the One Boeing Production System (One BPS) culture, tools and key performance indicators. Likewise, Manufacturing embraces a first pass quality culture and this requires our leaders to be committed to our team members’ success. FOD free product and clean as you go are key components of our production system and require a steadfast dedication to our standards, our people and our customer. This position is about helping our teammates and peers elevate and accelerate our business while holding steadfast to our values.

Primary Responsibilities:   

  • Leads employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing areas.

  • Develops and implements coordinated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.

  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Reinforces partnerships with customers, partners, peers, and team members.

  • Develops and motivates team members.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.

  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Positive relationship building skills.

  • Experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace.

  • Fabrication experience.

  • Exhibits servant leadership.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary Pay Range: $100,700 - $116,600
