What you can expect
Responsible for a segment of Embedded Software in Category Purchasing with focus on commercial and contractual tasks in Sourcing of new Software and related issues in Program & Operations.
- Responsible for commercial topics with suppliers
- Lead RFX activities to ensure compliance and optimal supplier selection
- Negotiate license fees, development and support costs, payment terms and contractual agreements
- Lead Category Strategy development
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to align software selections with strategic goals
- Conduct roadmap alignment reviews between purchasing and product area
- Develop and execute category strategies to improve costs and supplier performance
- Maintain and update global approved supplier list
- Responsible for negotiating and monitoring necessary contracts and agreements with suppliers within the segment
- Responsible for supplier relationships
- Lead supplier onboarding and manage ongoing supplier relationships
- Lead management meetings with suppliers
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for products, processes and tools
What you’ll bring
- University degree in relevant subject
- Previous experience working with embedded software, in engineering, project management, purchasing or other similar roles
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Advanced analytical skills
- Advanced contract and risk understanding competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Advanced communication skills (internal customers, suppliers)
- Advanced presentation skills
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good team and people skills, including interpersonal skills that are required to lead, mentor, communicate and build commercial and technical skills of a cross-functional and cross-cultural organization
- Able to work effectively in a global environment
