Job Responsibilities:

What you can expect

Responsible for a segment of Embedded Software in Category Purchasing with focus on commercial and contractual tasks in Sourcing of new Software and related issues in Program & Operations.

  • Responsible for commercial topics with suppliers
    • Lead RFX activities to ensure compliance and optimal supplier selection
    • Negotiate license fees, development and support costs, payment terms and contractual agreements
  • Lead Category Strategy development
    • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to align software selections with strategic goals
    • Conduct roadmap alignment reviews between purchasing and product area
    • Develop and execute category strategies to improve costs and supplier performance
    • Maintain and update global approved supplier list
  • Responsible for negotiating and monitoring necessary contracts and agreements with suppliers within the segment
  • Responsible for supplier relationships
    • Lead supplier onboarding and manage ongoing supplier relationships
    • Lead management meetings with suppliers
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for products, processes and tools

What you’ll bring

  • University degree in relevant subject
  • Previous experience working with embedded software, in engineering, project management, purchasing or other similar roles
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Advanced contract and risk understanding competencies
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Advanced communication skills (internal customers, suppliers)
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good team and people skills, including interpersonal skills that are required to lead, mentor, communicate and build commercial and technical skills of a cross-functional and cross-cultural organization
  • Able to work effectively in a global environment
