About the Role:


We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join our team covering the Inverness area. This field-based role offers a mix of depot and on-site work across Northwest Scotland – an ideal opportunity for a mechanically skilled engineer with diesel engine experience looking to take their career to the next level.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Service, maintain, and repair pumps, generators, and diesel-powered equipment in both depot and field environments.

  • Prepare and inspect equipment at the depot to ensure it is fully operational before deployment.

  • Carry out major overhauls and refurbishments of end-of-life equipment.

  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimise equipment downtime.

  • Work closely with the service team, hire controller, and foreman to ensure smooth operations.

  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies at all times.

  • Keep your working environment organised and equipment maintained to the highest standards.

  • Travel to customer sites and participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Mechanical experience, ideally with plant equipment, pumps, generators, or diesel engines.

  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, M&E apprenticeship, or equivalent.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
