Qualified NP/PA hourly rate is $85 an hour. Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants can expect to earn an additional monthly bonus based on productivity & performance!

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of a physician or administrator, performs medical examinations, selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks, and other special procedures to assist in the delivery of medical services to patients. The Associate Core Provider (ACP) will function as a secondary provider, assisting the primary provider with patient throughout, focusing on management of low risk patient complaints.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Outstanding Patient Care and Medical Knowledge
  • Assesses patient needs within an ambulatory care setting
  • Appropriately triages patients to differentiate the patient needs
  • Evaluates patients in a timely manner, putting patient care above clerical duties
  • Performs a thorough history and physical exam on each patient
  • Creates an individualized, evidence-based plan of care
  • Appropriately consults the on-call WellNow physician and on-call radiologist
  • Effectively manages payers across the spectrum of services provided at a site
  • Follows evidence-based standards for ordering laboratory, radiology and other diagnostic studies
  • Uses evidence-based resources for treatment options
  • Orders and prescribes appropriate medications
  • Appropriately consults and refers to primary care and specialty physicians
  • Performs procedures appropriate type of services provided at the standard of care
  • Educates patients regarding the disease process and discharge plan
  • Maintains patient confidentiality
  • Dedication to and accountability for optimizing antibiotic prescribing and patient safety, with a commitment to Antibiotic Stewardship
  • Committed to the specialty of Urgent Care, with a focus on serving our communities with quick, convenient and quality care with continued clinical and patient experience training.
  • Defers high risk patient complaints/procedures to the primary core provider. These will be well defined for the ACP during training

    • Maintains patient records for clinic use, medical record use, and billing use
    • Completes charts within 3 days of shift
    • Ensures all diagnostic tests that are not complete at the time of care are reviewed and appropriately followed-up
    • Attends meetings
    • Participates in special projects as they arise

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work well independently evaluating and managing patients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly and customer service oriented.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program or an accredited university.

REQUIRED LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:

  • Licensure in the state in which you are applying as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required. 
  • Must be in good standing with no restrictions to practice in the state where you are applying.

MENTAL AND VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Works in clean, smoke-free and well-lighted spaces.
  • Exposure to frequent deadlines/ must have ability to handle stress effectively, subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Must have good visual and hearing acuity.
  • Must be able to utilize keyboard and view computer screens up to 90% of shift.
  • Must be able to follow directions and plan fairly complex processes & workflow.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend, climb, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions of hands and/or wrists.
  • Requires some physical work; lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 25-50 pounds.
