Position Summary

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Aetna Health Product Management Office. We are a high-powered, high-performing team dedicated to providing a best-in-class digital experience for all Aetna members.

This role is responsible for bridging the gap between market insights and product execution and overseeing the operational aspects of product development, streamlining processes, and managing data to support product strategy. This role will lead our end-to-end competitive intelligence process, transforming raw data into actionable strategies that inform product development, enhance GTM (go-to-market) efforts, and ensure operational alignment across the organization. Key responsibilities include market and competitive analysis, strategic planning, data management, analysis and reporting, stakeholder management & communication, and tools and systems management.


To be successful in this role, you must be a methodical thinker, capable of working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. In addition, you must have experience in a product development environment, have excellent facilitation & communication skills, strong analytical skills and a proven ability to build structure in ambiguous environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead continuous, "always-on" monitoring of the competitive landscape, including competitor product launches.
  • Synthesize complex data from diverse sources (including third party intelligence partners) to provide actionable insights and recommendations that shape the product roadmap and long-term Aetna Health strategy.
  • Design and optimize processes for gathering, analyzing, storing, and disseminating competitive insights across the organization.
  • Design, implement and continuously improve product development processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation to streamline team operations and ensure consistent adoption across the organization.
  • Manage cross-functional programs involving key stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Design, Support, Sales, and Marketing).
  • Assist product leadership with strategy execution and deliverables.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in product operations, product management, product owner, or management consulting.
  • 5+ years of data analytics experience to drive decision making, consumer insights, partnering with 3rd party vendor to drive product roadmaps and prioritization.
  • 5+ years of Managing cross-functional programs involving key stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Design, Support, Sales, and Marketing).
  • Excellent business acumen, communication, and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Aetna or managed healthcare experience
  • Experience with Agile, SAFe, or Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience with product development (i.e., JIRA, Rally, Confluence) and project management (i.e., Airtable) tools


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $284,280.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
