Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor teams in designing and maintaining learning programs; coach team leaders to resolve risks and support professional growth.
Strategic Alignment: Set priorities and allocate resources to ensure learning initiatives meet business needs and timelines.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders, SMEs, and delivery teams to co-create impactful learning experiences.
Quality & Governance: Uphold instructional quality, accessibility, and brand standards; oversee governance and compliance.
Continuous Improvement: Leverage data and feedback to refine processes, templates, and operational practices; drive change management and resilience.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
12+ years of leadership experience supporting instructional design, learning experience, curriculum, or similar teams (experience leading individual contributors is sufficient).
Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design practices. Ability to coach and develop managers and individual contributors.
Experience managing complex projects and multiple priorities.
Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with current learning design and development tools, accessibility standards, and governance practices (hands-on tool use not required).
Demonstrated ability to lead through change and foster team resilience.
Ability to give and receive both positive and constructive feedback effectively.
Ability to adapt and respond positively in a dynamic and changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting practitioner or community engagement networks (e.g., business-embedded L&D supporters).
Background in maintaining learning content or similar workflows. Knowledge of metadata, documentation, quality, and version control practices.
Bachelor’s degree or industry certification in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with digital learning ecosystems, analytics, or emerging technologies. Demonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide L&D initiatives.
