Summary:
As a Security Transformation Practitioner, you will engage in the design, development, and implementation of security solutions aimed at safeguarding digital assets and business operations. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to integrate security controls into enterprise systems, applications, and processes, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches. You will also analyze existing security measures and recommend enhancements to fortify the organization's security posture, while staying updated on the latest security trends and technologies to effectively mitigate risks.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Configure Azure WAF: configure Azure Web Application Firewall policies for client web applications, customizing rule sets and exclusions to protect against common web vulnerabilities (e.g. SQL injection, XSS) and OWASP Top 10 risks. Ensure WAF solutions (on Azure Application Gateway or Front Door) are optimally configured for each client s needs.
- Threat Monitoring & Response: Monitor WAF alerts and logs continuously to detect and respond to threats in real time. Investigate security events or suspicious traffic patterns and perform incident response actions such as tuning WAF rules or applying custom mitigations. Fine-tune WAF configurations to minimize false positives while maintaining strong protection
- Cloud-Native Firewall & Network Security: Design and implement secure network architectures in Azure, utilizing cloud-native firewalls (e.g., Azure Firewall) and Network Security Groups (NSGs) to enforce segmentation and traffic control Configure VPNs or ExpressRoute as needed for hybrid connectivity, and ensure end-to-end network protection for client cloud environments.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with client stakeholders and development/DevOps teams to integrate security into application design and deployment. Translate business and application requirements into appropriate security controls – for example, aligning WAF policies and firewall rules with the functionality of specific apps or APIs Provide clear security guidance to clients and adjust solutions based on feedback or changing requirements.
- Azure WAF Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in Azure Web Application Firewall – including creating and managing WAF policies, writing custom rules, and tuning WAF settings on Azure Application Gateway or Azure Front Door14. Deep understanding of how WAF protects web applications from threats and exploits.
- Network Security & Cloud Firewalls: Strong knowledge of network security principles and experience with cloud-native firewalls and controls. This includes proficiency in Azure network security features such as Azure Firewall, NSGs, load balancer configurations, and VPN/ExpressRoute setup Ability to design secure network topologies and implement segmentation and access controls in cloud environments.
- Web Application Security Knowledge: In-depth understanding of web application security threats and mitigation techniques. Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, common attack vectors (XSS, CSRF, SQL injection, DDoS, etc.), and protective measures Experience using security monitoring or SIEM tools to analyze alerts and logs for cloud/web environments is required.
- Education & Certification: Bachelor s degree, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) certification is required for this role, demonstrating the ability to implement and manage Azure security controls and maintain security posture.


Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Multi-Cloud Security: Experience with security configurations on other cloud platforms or additional WAF solutions (e.g., AWS WAF, Google Cloud Armor, Cloudflare WAF) and their respective cloud firewall services is a plus. This demonstrates versatility in managing security across multi-cloud environments.
- Advanced Certifications: Additional certifications like Certified Cloud Security or other relevant security and cloud certifications are highly valued and indicate a strong commitment to professional development.


Additional Information:
- The candidate should have Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles (cloud security, application security, or network security) with a focus on securing cloud infrastructure13. Proven track record of delivering security solutions in Azure or similar cloud environments.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
