The Compliance Analyst ensures that the company’s property and casualty claims operations adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role plays a critical part in identifying compliance risks, conducting audits, and supporting process improvements to maintain the integrity and efficiency of claims handling.
Monitor and evaluate claims processes to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Conduct internal audits of claims files to assess adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with claims adjusters and managers to address compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
Assist in the development and implementation of compliance training programs for claims staff.
Track regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Prepare reports and dashboards summarizing audit findings, trends, and compliance metrics.
Support external audits and regulatory examinations by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries.
Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving claims compliance and operational efficiency.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field.
3+ years of experience in property and casualty insurance claims, with a focus on compliance or auditing.
Strong knowledge of insurance regulations, claims handling standards, and industry practices.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with regulatory bodies such as NAIC, DOI, or state insurance departments.
Familiarity with ISO standards and insurance fraud detection practices.
Certification in compliance or auditing (e.g., CPCU, AIC, CCEP) is a plus.
