Summary: The Azure Databricks Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions using Azure Databricks and related Azure data services. The role requires strong hands-on experience with PySpark, Delta Lake, Azure Data Lake, and ETL/ELT frameworks. The developer will work closely with data architects and stakeholders to build reliable, high-performing data engineering solutions following best practices and cloud standards. Roles and Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks. • Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows incorporating data from multiple sources. • Work with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure SQL, Delta Lake, and other Azure data services. • Implement data transformations using PySpark and Spark SQL within Databricks notebooks. • Develop and manage Delta Live Tables and Lakehouse architecture solutions. • Ensure data quality, performance tuning, and optimization of Spark jobs. • Implement CI/CD pipelines for Databricks jobs using Azure DevOps. • Monitor and troubleshoot Databricks clusters, jobs, and pipelines. • Ensure adherence to data governance and security best practices within Azure. Professional and Technical Skills: • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark/Spark SQL). • Good working knowledge of Azure Data Factory (ADF) for pipeline orchestration. • Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL Database. • Solid understanding of Delta Lake concepts and implementation. • Strong SQL development and data modeling skills. • Experience in performance tuning of Spark jobs and optimizing large-scale datasets. • Knowledge of CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or similar tools. • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
