Reporting to the Plant Manager at our Archbold, OH manufacturing facility, local producers of Vienna Sausage, Dennisons and Wolf chili, you will manage the daily operation of our sanitation and plant production departments including Vienna, Kitchen, Sauce and Packaging. You will oversee several production managers in supporting a safe and efficient operation to produce wholesome quality products. You will collaborate with the plant leadership team to provide direction to the Archbold plant of 550 hourly and salaried team members.

  • Implement our plant-specific mission to assure continuous improvement which aligns with the corporate vision.
  • Ensure all quality and regulatory standards, specifications, and policies are met.
  • Promote employee engagement and development to maximize safety, manufacturing, quality and productivity goals.
  • Collaborate directly with production planning and materials management to increase scheduled completion and customer service.
  • Temporarily fill role of Plant Manager.
  • Communicate directly with Human Resources to ensure employee issues or concerns are correctly addressed and resolved.
  • Collaborate with finance to create a capital budget to ensure that financial allocations and obligations are set, administered, and met.
  • Initiate cost savings measures relating to crewing, standards, and yields.
  • Important member of our labor management committee addressing union concerns.

Do You Have What it Takes?

  • 5 – 7 years experience in a Manufacturing environment with 24/7 accountability
  • 3 – 5 years Management experience
  • Experience in a unionized Food manufacturing industry
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Food Science, Management, Product Operations, or equivalent field of study
