About the role

This position is for an experienced Strategic Procurement Buyer with strong commercial and analytical expertise, complemented by well-developed stakeholder management and decision-making skills. The role executes procurement processes, standards, and operational plans to support organizational goals, including RFP development, supplier negotiations, cost accountability and program execution.

Responsibilities

  • Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution.

  • Approves and qualifies vendors to fulfill account needs.

  • Responds to client issues or problems.

  • Authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly.

  • Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.

  • Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.

  • Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge typically obtained through a University degree combined with relevant professional experience.

  • Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, procurement programs, systems, or processes, with the ability to enhance and leverage them in daily work.

  • University degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years of prior relevant procurement or supply chain experience.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external suppliers.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced procurement environment.
