The Orthopaedic Surgery Unit specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions affecting the bones, muscles, and joints, including musculoskeletal tumors, joint replacements, adult reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, and spine health. As an Administrative Program Coordinator, you will serve as a key liaison and provide administrative, technical and operational support for the department. In this role, you will assist the Director with daily operations and project execution, coordinate policy evaluation and implementation and identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency. You will also manage and track departmental training, publications, manuscripts and abstracts, oversee intake and onboarding for visiting researchers and fellows and collaborate with marketing and philanthropy teams to promote departmental initiatives.

A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

This position offers a hybrid option after a 90-day new hire period, with three days on-site and two days remote per week.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • With guidance from the Director, lead or coordinate multiple projects and policy initiatives.

  • Update, monitor and manage databases.

  • Develop scorecards and milestones to track progress.

  • Analyze project improvement and progress.

  • Report on discrepancies and variances.

  • Coordinate project prioritization and assist with policy and initiative implementation.

  • Assist with scheduling, coordination, preparation and communication of meetings.

  • Attend meetings and record key outcomes.

  • Support all office administrative functions.

  • Develop and maintain updates.

  • Collaborate with marketing and philanthropy teams.

  • Oversee intake and onboarding for visiting researchers and research fellows.

  • Lead the planning and execution of the annual Walk of Joints event each October.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Associate's Degree and two years of administrative experience or customer
    service

  • OR High School Diploma/GED and four years of experience

  • OR Bachelor’s Degree 

  • Computer skills and experience with software applications

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field 

  • Healthcare experience or related organization 

  • Knowledge of project management and communication practices

  • Event planning experience

  • Marketing experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
