Position Description :

This role is designed to drive strategic business growth across the healthcare ecosystem by identifying new business development opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening external stakeholder engagement. Moving beyond a traditional sales force focus, this position will play a key role in shaping the external-facing strategy of the organization. The position requires strong analytical, strategic, and stakeholder management skills to support sustainable growth and market expansion in Korea.

Responsibilities :

New Business Development & Partnership Management through API integration

  • Identify Strategic Partners: Proactively source potential partners across the healthcare ecosystem (health-tech, labs, clinics, wellness chains) to drive incremental revenue for Korea business.
  • Develop Business Cases: Prepare business cases to support new market entries, product launches, and initiatives to accelerate growth.
  • Contract Negotiation & Governance: Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards while maximizing mutual value.
  • Shape Strategic Alignment: Engage executives to co-create sustainable value and elevate discussions from transactional sales to strategic, win-win partnerships.
  • Develop & Execute Business Plans: Lead comprehensive business planning and implementation with regular internal and partner reviews.
  • Build Trusted Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target accounts.
  • Create Growth Solutions Beyond Contracting: Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to design solutions and services that accelerate business growth.
  • Manage Risks & Market Changes: Anticipate risks and evolving market conditions; define and execute mitigation strategies to ensure commitments are met.

 

External Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with government bodies, industry associations, and academic institutions.
  • Represent the company at external forums, conferences, and working groups.
  • Provide insights on policy changes, market trends, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on strategic fit and commercial potential.
  • Utilize CRM and BD tools to track progress and report outcomes.
  • Collaborate with regional chambers of commerce and trade organizations to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Establish thought leadership by contributing to white papers, policy briefs, and industry publications.
  • Coordinate with public affairs teams to align messaging and advocacy efforts.
  • Engage with innovation hubs and startup ecosystems to explore co-development opportunities.
  • Facilitate stakeholder roundtables and advisory boards to gather insights and foster alignment.

Qualifications/ Experience :

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in business or science/engineering required; MBA from top-tier school preferred
  • Proven leader with over 12 years of commercial experience, preferably in the healthcare space and general management/P&L exposure
  • Conducting a cross-functional project that required collaboration with various departments (e.g., sales, marketing, IT) to implement a salesforce effectiveness initiative (e.g., new product launch, salesforce training program, or CRM optimization).
  • High-energy, self-starter that is assertive, possesses a high degree of self-confidence and intellectual curiosity, exhibits a bias for action, demonstrates good executive presence, and has a high degree of commitment to meeting deadlines and objectives
  • Outstanding strategic planning and analytical skills – proven ability to identify/define business questions and issues, synthesize information from multiple sources, conduct analysis, formulate actionable recommendations, and confidently advocate a point-of-view to senior management &/or governmental agencies’ leads
  • Innovative and creative – demonstrated ability to leverage consumer insights to identify and evaluate creative ideas, focusing on those that will create sustainable competitive advantage
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with all levels of management and customers
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, finance and statistics concepts (i.e., ROI, P&L)
  • Verbal and written fluency in Korean and English
