The Expedia for Business Operational Excellence Team supports Expedia Group by implementing platform and operational enhancements to increase efficiency.

The internal Expedia Group teams we help support serve customers and hotel suppliers in many functions including: hotel onboarding onto our websites, guest outreach and relocations, supplier account management, and daily billing and booking inquires. Our team supports over 1600 sales representatives as well as an in-sourced call center and support staff team of 1000+ with 21+ global operating locations supporting supplier/customer interactions in 26 languages.

As Expedia Group orients to the vision of becoming a platform based company, our team is looking for a self starter to join our Salesforce product team and own the guidance of prioritization and implementation of improvements to the sales & support spaces.

What you'll do:

  • Take ownership in driving new feature development through every stage of the product life cycle and deliver incremental value using validated agile methodologies

  • Understand product interaction within a business process and from end user experience view point

  • Evaluate feature requests, capture detailed business requirements from partners and work closely with technology staff to translate requirements into user stories for consumption by development team

  • Work with development team through development cycle to ensure features delivered drive high business value and meet requirements

  • Collaborate with the development team to evaluate technical options, conducting build versus buy analysis

  • Identify gaps or missing links in requirements, handle risks & UAT defects and drive these issues toward resolution

  • Validate projects after deployment to ensure they meet all operational and business requirements and drive maintenance and problem resolution, as the need arises

  • Collaborate and reach alignment between product development, reporting, training and business owners to ensure clear communication, understanding of product offerings at all times and ultimate project success

  • Provide transparency into status of upcoming improvements to partners

  • Own and document product feedback to help in the prioritization of development projects

  • Refine and build the assigned product offering over time

  • Act as product champion and establish effective relationships with key partners

  • Organizes the strategic vision into key themes that solve for both short-term and long–term business & customer requirements

  • Takes a lead role in detailing a strategic plan to achieve key themes and milestones, using a compelling narrative to “tell the story” of the roadmap

  • Facilitates tradeoff decisions with engineering teams to ensure a financially viable product that solves for customer need

  • Facilitates integration of AI/ML into product functionality, leveraging an understanding of model development processes (data collection and processing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring)

  • Leverages understanding of technical architecture to ensure decisions meet product requirements and adjusts designs to account for dependent systems

  • Applies understanding of EG's structure and key players to identify potential product strategy dependencies

  • Balances short-term and long-term business considerations with product decisions and is able to partner with finance to set incremental revenue targets

  • Drives business innovation within the product portfolio

  • Identifies friction within the customer journey and recommends customer-centric experience solutions and features to address

  • Ensures product goals are clearly articulated and visually represented

  • Defines new metrics and new data sources to support continuous product improvement; drives monthly metrics reviews

  • Independently gathers and analyzes product data, draws insights, and makes informed product decisions; requests support from Data Analytics teams as necessary to support decision-making

  • Builds effective product metric dashboards tailored to audience need that enable ongoing cross-functional decision-making and are useful for metric reviews

  • Effectively prioritizes initiatives & features based on a comprehensive understanding of business strategy while leveraging a data-informed approach using pre-defined criteria

  • Owns product requirements documentation leveraging EG standard toolkit and guides development of detailed user stories

  • Develops ability to influence without authority and to manage expectations; earns trust and credibility with peer leaders

  • Effectively communicates and influences up and down within the organization; uses analysis and team work to craft a relevant story that is meaningful to the audience

Who you are:

  • +2 years of Product Management/Program Management /Business Analysis experience

  • 1+ experience with developing integration between CRM & other applications and implementing CRM features/custom apps to increase user efficiency

  • 1+ Experience in Salesforce.com as a Product Manager/Project Manager/Business Analyst is must.

  • Experience supporting CRM products (Salesforce, MSCRM) around the sales process

  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and projects at a time, prioritize workload optimally, and thrive in a dynamic and sophisticated environment

  • Proficiency with all phases of product management

  • Proven record working with cross organizational teams to drive the implementation of new features as well as resolve operational issues

  • Flexibility in working hours required to meet with global internal technical and business partners

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM

  • Goal oriented and passionate about achieving results by tackling on the spot decisions and make the needed trade-offs

  • Ability to creatively tackle results-oriented and sophisticated business/technology problems

  • Ability to retrieve using CRM Reports, SQL Server and analyze the data.

  • Should be a self-starter and detail oriented
